We all know that ginger turmeric tea is good for inflammation and a good tummy tamer. But did you know it’s tasty, too? 2inch5-cm piece fresh turmeric root, sliced thin or shredded
2inch5-cm piece fresh ginger peeled and chopped
9whole cardamom pods
3whole cinnamon sticks
6whole black peppercorns
3cups708 ml water
After Cooking Ingredients
Sweetener of choiceto taste. Note: Maple syrup and date syrup are my favorites.
Instructions
Add the turmeric, ginger, cardamom, cinnamon, peppercorns and water to your Instant Pot.
Cook on high pressure for 5 minutes and let the pressure release naturally.
Strain through a fine-mesh strainer. Add the sweetener and mix well.
Remember: This is a concentrate and you will want to make it sweeter than you want your final drink to be.
Store in the fridge for up to 1 week.

To serve: Mix 1/2 cup (118 ml) of concentrate with your favorite nondairy milk. I use a 70/30 ratio, but make it the way you like it. Heat the mixture on the stove in a pan or in a mug in your microwave to serve it hot. Or mix with cold nondairy milk and drink it over ice in the summer.Want to drink this every morning? Make a double or triple batch, depending on how much your Instant Pot will hold. You can freeze it in ice cube trays or in the amount you will use in a week. Thaw and enjoy!
